Have you heard of Bulletproof coffee? This high-fat beverage is rocking healthy eaters’ mornings, especially of those who follow the keto diet.

We all know there are as many ways of drinking coffee as beans in this world. Some people like their cup straight black, others add sugar, some add skim milk, and the list could go on forever. 

One of the modern ways of taking morning coffee is by adding oil and butter. Yes, you read it right. The original bulletproof coffee was trademarked by Dave Asprey, an American “lifestyle guru” who became famous for promoting a type of diet that’s high in fat, moderate in protein, and low in carbohydrates. His recipe includes MCT oil and salt-free butter. 

We created our version of this favorite beverage, and you can probably find the ingredients in your pantry right now. Whether you follow this diet or not, we think this recipe is worth a try! 

What you'll need:
  1. 1 cup freshly brewed coffee
  2. 1 tbsp coconut oil 
  3. Almond milk to taste 
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender, starting with the coconut oil and almond milk
  • Blend until smooth and frothy
  • Serve immediately
  • Add vanilla extract, sugar, cinnamon, or cacao nibs to taste
